Bo Jones Has Passed Away

A Message from Mike Byrd
President of the Professional Bondsmen of Texas

It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that Bo Jones passed away early this morning. Bo Jones was the immediate past President of the Professional Bondsmen of Texas. But he was so much more than that. He was a really good man as well. Bo has been a bondsmen for over 30 years. Also, he has been a long time member of PBT. He served on many different committees with distinction including the membership committee which is where many of our members first met him.

Last year as Bo was preparing to run for re-election as our President he received a bad health report and over time the news continued to get worse. When he learned that his time might be short he announced that he would not be running for re-election but continued to serve out his term. He wanted to ensure that everything transitioned smoothly to the next President. We are better people and a better organization today because of people like Bo Jones. He will be missed.

Please pray for the Bo Jones family. The funeral arrangements are set out below.

All Is Well
by Oliver Wright

Death is nothing at all,
I have only slipped into the next room
I am I and you are you
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.
Call me by my old familiar name,

Speak to me in the easy way which you always used
Put no difference in your tone,
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.

Let my name be ever the household word that it always was,
Let it be spoken without effect, without the trace of shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same as it ever was, there is unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?

I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near,
Just around the corner.
All is well.
