Barr Nukes Mainstream Narrative



There was a lot of coverage of the Democrats’ efforts to take on Attorney General Bill Barr yesterday during a hearing largely about the federal response to the BLM riots.

As has been reported, it largely blew up in their faces. There was even a highlight reel of his responses, which is terrific.

Not only did Barr successfully defend himself from attack and “eat their lunch,” in the words of pundit Michael Goodwin, he went after them for their failure to condemn the rioting across the country and the people behind it with an assist from Jim Jordan, as we reported.

Here’s the clip that Jordan played, that showed the widow of David Dorn among other victims and a lot of the horrible attacks and violence that have been a part of these riots. That really puts paid to the ‘peaceful’ narrative Democrats have tried to construct.

Bail Fund Supporters Pull Back Support

The Massachusetts Bail Fund is a charity that pays the bail for prisoners who can’t afford it. The nationwide protest movement spurred by the killing of George Floyd in Minnesota has brought a flood of donations, empowering fund officials to pay much higher bails than they ever could before. But the group is facing backlash from its own supporters after it posted $15,000 bail to release a Level 3 sex offender who then allegedly raped and tried to strangle a Quincy woman within three weeks. Shawn McClinton had two previous convictions and a pending rape charge when the group freed him from the Nashua Street jail in July. On Friday, a student group at Boston University canceled a fund-raising concert for the Bail Fund scheduled for Aug. 7, saying they did not realize that the charity was freeing people accused of serious crimes. “We apologize for our ignorance about the Mass. In the heated national debate over bail reform and cashless bail, one critical perspective is often overlooked: the real families left scrambling when a working parent is arrested for a minor offense.
