Woman Arrested for Bashing Multiple Officers Described as "Kind, Generous and Peaceful"

The woman accused of bashing police officers with a wooden cane on the Brooklyn Bridge this week was ordered held on $7,500 bail during her Friday morning arraignment.

When Officer Antonio Torres tried to arrest her, she kicked him and locked her arms — prompting Torres to request help from other cops, according to the complaint.

“The defendant then bit one of the arresting officers in the head,” Khazly said.

The woman was brought to the 5th Precinct station house in Lower Manhattan, where she was escorted out in handcuffs and leg irons and put into an ambulance shortly after noon.

Exclusive video shows that although her wrists were shackled behind her back, she managed to work her hands around to flip the bird at reporters.

Asked to explain her alleged actions on the bridge, the woman — who wore a shirt saying “WANTED” in yellow letters — denied any involvement in Wednesday’s incident.

“I didn’t attack nobody,” she said.

Reyes has been charged with second-degree assault, obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest and attempted assault in the third degree, according to prosecutors.

During the arraignment, Reyes’ attorney Michael Horn called her a “kind and generous young lady.”

“I spoke with numerous people, she worked with homeless people, she is a Black Lives Matter activist, she is peaceful,” Horn said. “[She attended] La Guardia college, [received her] associates degree in 2018 and is enrolled full time at Queens College, working on a Bachelor of Science degree. She is from Brooklyn [and] has strong ties to the community.”
