Law Enforcement- Texas "Bail Reform Law Will Help Keep Public Safe"

 




The Sheriffs of Randall and Hutchinson County see Texas’ new bail reform bill that was signed into law Monday as a step closer to keeping the public and officers safe.

The Damon Allen Act prohibits a person charged with a violent offense to be released on personal bond. It also requires the defendant be granted or denied bail within 48 hours of their arrest.
