The Blow Back from Bad Bail Reform is "Nasty"- Career Criminals need to Remain in Jail

 



The City of Oakland (California) is the latest politically liberal city to refund and rehire police as criminals are running amok due to left-leaning, feckless leadership in far too many cities around the country. 

However, the problem is far greater than a lack of funding and cops in patrol cars. It’s also the inability to keep criminals in jail.

From Los Angeles to New York and every major city in between, various “bail reform” movements have created a series of catastrophes. Law Officer covers these tragic scenarios daily–one career criminal after another committing a horrific offense when he should have been in custody due to past crimes.

Harris County (Houston area) in Texas has literally experienced dozens of homicides committed by offenders out of custody with low bail or no bail regardless of violent priors.

What do you say to the families of these predators, “Sorry, our bad”?

Is 2024 the Year of the Woman for the Professional Bondsmen of Texas?  At the recent annual meeting, Irma Montemayor was elected president of PBT.  She will serve for the next two years.  She is only the third woman to be elected President.  She has been involved in the bonding industry since she was 18. Trying to Understand Bail Reform and Cashless Bail in the Age of Online Misinformation

In today's digital landscape, identifying the truth about topics like bail reform and cashless bail can be challenging due to widespread disinformation, misinformation, and propaganda. In a recent article in AIA Surety's Insight newsletter their Vice President of Communications, Eric Granof, discusses how much of the information consumers digest comes from internet searches, particularly Google.  Someone asks a question and Google searches the web for the answer and aggregates the best results based on its algorithm.  The problem with this is that Google is not an expert on everything like people expect.  It is simply feeding up what its algorithm believes is the best answer rather than objective truth.
