PBUS Mid-Year Summer Conference Will Include PBT Presentation

The upcoming mid year Summer Conference for PBUS will be held from July 30, 2023 to August 2, 2023 in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.  The conference will include a presentation from PBT regarding its brand new "Call to Action" System that was designed by PBT board member Charlie Pickens and his programmer Justin Draper.

A Call to Action system is something that you hope that you will not need when you are dealing with your local legislature.  It is a system that allows your membership to send emails to your representatives and senators asking them to oppose a bill pending before any group whether it be a committee, the House or the Senate of the Legisalture.

PBT has used some form of a call to action system for mutiple sessions.  Initially, PBT designed such pages by hand.  It would take at least 24 hours to program.  Since the system relied heavily on individual programming, there was a high chance of errors being embedded into the system at the very moment that there was little time to have errors.  PBT would create a preprogrammed email and embed it into a web-page that allowed members to visit and send emails to a list of recipients.

Two sessions ago, working with PBT board member Charlie Pickens and Justin Draper, PBT scrapped the system it had been using and developed the first generation of a new "Call to Action" system.  Then after the last session, PBT took the lessons it learned using the first generation of the system and completely redesigned the system from scratch.

The new system was designed with the following goals in mind:
  • The system had to allow multiple campaigns at the same time.
  • The system was redesigned with portability in mind so that it could be used by any group across the country.
  • After set up, the system must be user friendly and allow a campaign to be set up within 3 minutes or less.
  • The system also incorporated a "click to dial" system to allow members to call a preselected group of phone numbers with a 3 sentence script opposing a bill.
  • The campaigns have the capability to be turned off at anytime to give you the utmost control over the sytem.
  • For each campaign the system sets up a webpage that can be forwarded to your membership to ask them to particpate in a "Call to Action" campaign or a "Click to Dial" campaign.
  • The campaign also incorporated several automated features that would allow the sytem to be much more offensive in nature.
Join us at the PBUS Conference as we give a live presentation of the PBT "Call to Action" and "Click to Dial" systems.
